Jiangsu Normal University is a university jointly established by the People's Government of Jiangsu Province and the Ministry of Education. It is a high-level university in Jiangsu.The school's predecessor was the Cultural Accelerated School for demobilized cadres of the Southern Jiangsu Military Region, which was founded in Wuxi, Jiangsu in 1952. Lieutenant General Liu Xiansheng, who had outstanding military exploits, was the first principal.
