Beijing Institute of Technology was founded in 1940, formerly the Yan'an Academy of Natural Sciences. It is the first science and engineering university founded by the Communist Party of China. Comrade Mao Zedong personally inscribed the name of the school. Li Fuchun, Xu Teli, Li Qiang and other older generation proletarian revolutionaries have served as presidents of the school.Main leadership.
