Beijing Normal University is a key university directly under the Ministry of Education. It is a famous institution with teacher education, educational science and basic liberal arts and sciences as its main features.The school’s predecessor was the Normal School of Beijing Normal University founded in 1902. In 1908, it was renamed Beijing Superior Normal School and was established as an independent school. In 1912, it was renamed Beijing Higher Normal School.
