The springbok body length is 1.2-1.5 meters, the shoulder height is 68-90 cm, and the weight is 37-50 kg. Its limbs are slender. There is a longitudinal fold formed by the sunken skin in the center of the back. The hair in the fold is white.When frightened and start to run away, the folds unfold and an obvious white ridge appears, which is a warning signal to its companions; both males and females have horns and a ring on the black top.
