The silver-throated long-tailed tit has plump and well-developed feathers on its head. The body feathers are fluffy and downy. The head, back, wings and tail feathers are black or gray. The underparts are pure white or light gray brown, with grape red stains on the back, and part of the throat.The head has dark gray patches, and the length of the tail feathers is much longer than the length of the head and body.The female's plumage color is similar to that of the male bird.The iris is brown; the mouth is black; the feet are brown and black.
