The Lhasa River, called Jiqu in Tibetan, means "happy river" and "happiness river", and is located in central and southern Tibet.Originating from Norbrula on the north side of the middle section of the Nyenchen Tanglha Mountains, it flows through Mozhugongkar County and Datse County, and finally passes through Lhasa City, where it joins the Brahmaputra River in the southern suburbs of Lhasa City.
